Stephanie Lanckton was born in Michigan and currently lives in Brooklyn. She is a dancer and choreographer, trained in ballet, modern, capoeira and hip-hop. Stephanie earned a BA in dance from Point Park College (Pittsburgh, PA 1997). She is an alumnus of Intelochen Arts Academy and a certified Pilates instructor. Prior to NY she lived and performed in Portland, Oregon for nine years. There she was an original company member of Theory1: Dance and Aviator aerial dance company; among others she performed with Linda Austin, Randee Paufve, Jae Diego, Keith Goodman. In 2007 she made her NYC debut at Japan Society dancing with world-renowned butoh artist, Akira Kasai, in “Butoh America”. Her butoh training has come from Waguri Yukio, Atsushi Takenouchi, Tadashi Endo, Imre Thormann, Alenka Loesche and Mizu Disierto, and Akira Kasai. Stephanie joined Garnica LEIMAY in the spring of 2009.
